Retained

The term retained describes the formal nature of a personnel service. Essentially, there are 2 models of personnel services, the success-based and the exclusive or retained. In the exclusive method, a personnel consultancy is exclusively entrusted with a personnel search and receives a fee, the so-called retainer fee, once it has been commissioned.
