Operations
Operations is the core process of every producing company. The effective planning, management and control of these processes are key tasks of the Chief Operations Officer (COO). This role is crucial for maintaining productivity and quality in manufacturing.
The COO is responsible for manufacturing, lean management, maintenance, quality, technology, and safety. Manufacturing processes must run lean and smoothly, equipment must be used optimally, employees must be deployed safely and efficiently, productivity must be increased, and waste must be reduced.
Lean Management
Analyzing production processes for potential savings and efficiency improvements is a core task of the COO. Key figures must be made transparent for each location and across the board, and optimization measures must be identified and implemented.
COOs must not only have the methodological skills, but also focus on promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
